Don’t Be Fooled… They are after everyone!
An aggressive and sophisticated phone scam targeting taxpayers, including recent immigrants, has been making the rounds throughout the country. Robo-Callers claiming to be IRS agents, law enforcement or judicious department members are trying to dupe citizens into making payment to this horrific scam! Caller ID is useless, don’t fret, just block the number and hope to not receive another call. BUt, you most likely will. Just do it again!
Victims are told to call this number back to avoid being arrested. You don’t owe money to the IRS. They will never call you by telephone. Do not call them back. just block and go about your day.
